Building your own swing set is a fun and rewarding experience. One of the more challenging aspects is constructing the A frame portion. What do you use? How do you build it? You can solve all of those issues with our A frame bracket. Made of 1/8 inch thick powder coated steel, this will last for years to come, There are four 3/8" holes in each leg and three holes in the top fin. The legs are meant to be made from 4x4's and the top is meant for a pressure treated or redwood 4x6 wooden beam.
Brackets come standard in all of our swing set kits. Available in green only. If you would like a color other than green, you can simply paint the metal with a can of spray paint. Be sure to scuff the surface with sandpaper and then prime before you paint. Be sure to check out our full selection of swing set hardware to make your swing set or playset strong and safe for your kids.
One bracket is needed if one side of the swing beam is attached to the playset or swing set. Two are needed for a free standing swing set. If using as a free standing unit, you MUST add 45 degree cross braces from the 4x6 beam down to the sides of the A frame. This dramatically reduces any lateral movement.
