The overall length of the chains is 8'8" with the lower 48" being coated to protect kids fingers from getting pinched. These tire swings can be used on extra tall swing set beams or even to hang from a tree. The maximum height of the swing set beam or tree limb should be about 10 feet. If you are looking to hang one of these tires from a tree branch taller than 10 feet, you can use a single piece of chain to join the three chains to the single chain and then run the single chain up to the tree branch.
